It's Salsa Libre ala Fresco!! A free outdoor event open to the general public, brought to you by DJ Babaloo (of Session 73). Everybody is welcome to join. FREE Salsa lesson at 7:30pm. Dancing till midnight…

Please be aware that this is dancing outdoors with wooden plank flooring at Skipper's Cafe. The flooring has metal screws that you will occasionally catch your foot on. Wear sneakers or leather-soled shoes with low flat heels. (DO NOT wear ballroom shoes or spiked heels, cause they will be caught in between the planks).

Dress comfortably for outdoor activities, and be prepare to sweat. Also bring towels and change of clothing.

 

About DJ Babaloo:

Luis A. Felicies, affectionately ( referred to as "Babaloo" by friends ) was born in New York City to parents from Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Raised in the the hub of the Bronx, he attended elementary & secondary schools in New York City while spending summers with his grandparents in Puerto Rico.

His work as a DJ has enabled him to do creative work producing "live audio mixes-music on the fly". Professional assignments include Live DJ mix on television sitcom sets at the renown Kaufman-Astoria & Silver Cup studios, Qns. NY, where he was retained by the studio producers to create montages of music & audio backdrops or "soundscape beds of music for standup & audience warmup acts " during a live taping of a comedy for NBC-4NY TV. He was contracted as personal DJ for Whoopi Golberg to provide music & audio programming during live takes ( live taping). He has also worked DJ assignments on Actress Kelly Rippa's ( of Regis & Kelly) "Hope & Faith " show.
