Karibe Mambo is an eight-piece Latin band that has set on fire the Connecticut area stages with a unique sound. Although we have been together since 2005, our band members is an ensamble of seasoned musicians who have played in some of the best musical groups in the Northeast region. On stage we project a powerful and energetic sound, specializing on Caribbean music — Salsa, Cha-cha-cha, Bolero and Merengue. When you hear and see us perform, you will find it difficult to keep still, since we are first and foremost a dance band.

We are not just your average group playing our instruments on a stage, we are also entertainers that will keep you engaged on the performance tapping your feet, clapping your hands and, before you know it, we'll even have you irresistibly moving your body to our spicy beats.

Karibe Mambo is led by Puerto Rican born lead singer Orlando Ortiz, a seasoned professional that started his musical career more than a decade ago in Texas. "There's nothing more fulfilling as a performer than to watch an audience fully enjoying our performances without holding back," says Ortiz. "It is especially gratifying to observe those of various ethnic backgrounds, who may or may not fully know or understand the history of the Hispanic musical culture, enjoy our music." Although this is small band, the statement "great things come in small packages" applies.

Karibe Mambo has been well known in the Connecticut area, where you can catch us at the major festivals, night clubs and private functions.
