New York Salsa Dance Events: RIVER TO RIVER FESTIVAL SALSA @ WAGNER PARK

Free outdoor summer concerts held every summer in Robert F. Wagner Park in lower Manhattan's Battery Park City area.  The concerts start at 7:00 PM in a large area with lots of seating, and areas where people get up to dance up near the stage, behind the center seating area, and in the aisles.

Wagner Park is located on Battery Place, at the north end of Battery Park where it meets the lower end of Battery Park City.  It is between West Street and First Place, on the lower west side of Manhattan island, right on the Hudson River.

This is an event open to the general public. Come as you are. An outdoor park with seating and a stage set up for concerts.  There are several open cement areas where people get up and dance to the music. Salsa bands are scheduled for each evening event.  Sometimes, in addition, there will be a different band playing other kinds of music too, but the salsa band is the main feature of the night. DJ plays salsa music in between sets of the band.
