In 2005 New York Mayor Bloomberg proclaimed Labor Day weekend the New York Salsa Congress Weekend. We of the NYSC Committee in our New York manner has proclaimed the whole week from August. 22, 2008 - August 31, 2008 the New York Salsa Congress week. That being said, It's highly recommended that you save your money, vacation time and energy for the 8th Annual New York Salsa Congress. Come join us and experience a week + long of Salsa events in the Salsa Mecca of the World. We have teamed up with local NY promoters and we promise to keep you dancing every day of the week before the 8th Annual New York Salsa Congress just for preparation for what's in store for you. On this page you will find the schedule of activities including Launch party, Pre-parties, Welcome Party and Salsa Congress itself.

Please Note: This being New York City, we insist that you arrive early within the week or a week and 1/2 before so you can get the FULL New York City experience that would complete your trip. You can take tours, shop at or just visit the famous stores and outlets, plus visit and take pictures of the famous New York landmarks. It doesn't make sense coming to one of the greatest cities on the earth and not seeing it. |
