New York Salsa Dance Events: YESENIA'S DANCE FACTORY - MAMBO SOCIAL

Yesenia is one of the most well-known local NY/NJ salseras who is an instructor, performer and choreographer and who has traveled professional around the world.  She has performed and taught at venues in Italy, Curacao, Canada, Israel, Brazil, Zurich, Germany, Bermuda, Brussels, Singapore and elsewhere.  She has worked as a lead dancer in music videos, movies, and the hit soap opera “All My Children.”  She was one of the original founding members of the Caribbean Soul Dancers and she has also worked with David Melendez at The Starlite Dance Studio in the Bronx where she taught kids between the ages of 9 and 19.  Her choreography has been performed at Great Adventure, Disney World, and Los Angeles, to name a few.  In April 2005, along with other dancers, Yesenia was named ambassador of Goodwill for Israel.  In May 2005, she was honored at the West Coast Congress held in Los Angeles in appreciation for her contributions as a dancer and instructor in the World of Music and Dance.  She has been featured in two calendars and was also on the cover of  La Diva Latina magazine’s fall issue in 2007 which was sold nationwide.  Recently Yesenia formed a professional Dance Company called Sangre Nueva which performed recently at the NY Salsa Festival in Spring of 2007.

Yesenia's socials have great dance music and attract a wide range of dancers from beginner to advanced, including performers and instructors.  It is a friendly welcoming environment and all dancers from everywhere are warmly invited.

This salsa social is from 10:00 PM to around 3:00 AM. Held at Yesenia's Dance Factory, 1617 Bergenline Avenue, Union City, NJ  07087. This is a Classic mambo social held in a newly renovated dance studio. Music is Almost entirely pure classic salsa plus a little cha cha, bachata & merengue, played by Usually DJ JR Salsero and/or DJ Danny Ramirez where people dance Almost entirely "New York On 2" timing and style.
